Defence expert S R Sinho and P N Hoon on Friday urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir to punish those who waved Pakistani and ISIS flags in Srinagar, adding that no one in the country would be happy to see this incident.
“This sends a very wrong message and the people of the valley must punish these kind of unholy people....They should be punished not only by the public but also by country. They eat in India and wave Pakistan flags. They should be thrown into Jhelum and sent to Pakistan,” Sinho told ANI.
Meanwhile, Hoon asked why the security forces were content by firing water cannons at the agitators.
“No one in the country is going to be happy to see that Pakistani flags are being waved in Kashmir.... We should get hold of these people, why are we just firing water cannons? We should arrest them,” he said.
Pakistani and ISIS flags were reportedly waved today in Srinagar after the Juma-tul-Wida namaz, which is held on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramzan.
The city also witnessed a clash between police and protesters, where the former resorted to tear gas shelling in order to disperse the stone-pelting agitators.
