Hagel offers Javelin, Hawk, EMALS joint production to India

The United States and India breathed life into plans to co-produce and co-develop a number of weapon systems during US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel's three-day visit to New Delhi that ended on 9 August.
In talks between the two sides, the United States offered India at least 10 major military technologies including those for the Raytheon-Lockheed Martin designed Javelin anti-tank guided missile system.
Under the much-delayed Defence Technology and Trade Initiative (DTTI), the United States is also willing to transfer technology to India for Raytheon's Hawk XXI air defence missile system and Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) for aircraft carriers.
