A team of elected representatives and the secretary of the HAL Workers Association met defence minister Nirmala Seetaraman and minister for state for defence Subhash Bhamre to request for new projects for HAL Nashik division and to discuss the current situation.
MP Hemant Godse and HAL Workers Association secretary Anil Mandalik also met production secretary (defence) Ashok Kumar Gupta and additional production secretary (defence) Surin Rajan and requested for order for the fifth generation fighter aircraft for the Nashik unit and also additional work of Sukhoi 30. "Our representatives assured the minister that HAL Nashik division has the capacity to fulfil any goal," said an official of the company.
Bhamre said very soon a positive decision will be taken and HAL Nashik will not face shortage of work.
