Pakistan Army always looking to disrupt talks with India to retain authority: Defence expert Sinho

Despite the Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan meeting on Friday on the sidelines of an SCO Conference in Ufa, Russia, and announcing some positive outcomes, defence expert Major General (retired) SR Sinho today squarely blamed the Pakistani Army for always attempting to derail talks between the two leaderships by creating problems at the border.
"Their Army is one of the forces which are derailing these peace talks with the Indian Government. Whenever there is something like this, they always do something on the border areas. The reason is that the army always wants to remain dominant in Pakistan, they want to rule, control and direct decision making in the Pakistan Government. We want to stop the army's interference, but it is up to the leaders and the public of Pakistan to understand the army's motive behind it," Major General (retired) Sinho told a news agency.
The meeting between the Prime Ministers of both countries comes a day after Pakistani troops had fired at a Border Security Force forward post in Kashmir, killing a jawan. This was the second such incident in the past week.
